The Helix Instrumental Music Association is a cooperative group and provides thousands of volunteer hours each year in support of the music programs.
Teamwork is the hallmark of our activities, and people are needed to set up, take down, chaperone, drive vehicles, load equipment, fundraise, fit uniforms, usher, plan, prepare, communicate, coordinate, greet, encourage, and just be present.
Volunteering is an opportunity to help the music program, but more than that, it is an opportunity to meet each other, gain an understanding of the students' learning experiences, and see your student in action.
Volunteers should be:

Age 18 years or older

Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with the public

Able to stand for a 3-4 hour shift

Willing to serve at a minimum of four events per season
Many of our activities and events will have online volunteer sign ups. Join the fun! Volunteer participation makes our programs possible.
